Common Lands

One of the most unique features of Ennisclare Woods, is approximately 90 acres of Common Land, which surrounds the area of private properties. This creates a natural buffer between our community and the adjoining lands. Common Lands ownership is equally divided (deeded) amongst all the residents: it is "shared private property". The lands include swaths of forest, fields and meadows, ponds, and wet-lands.

A series of hiking trails were constructed in the common lands by the develper at the time of original subdivision development. These are for the exclusive use by the residents and their guests.

Over the last several years, the residents volunteered to help clean and reconstruct the trails. In several wet areas, raised-plank walkways have been constructed.

Trail Use Rules & Guidelines

  • No motorized vehicles of any type are allowed for safety reasons
  • Reserved for use by Ennisclare Woods residents and their guests
  • Help keep the trails clean - if you see garbage, please pick it up
